"Immaculée shares her miraculous story of how she survived during the Rwanda genocide in 1994 when she and seven other women huddled silently together in the cramped bathroom of a local pastor’s house for 91 days! In this captivating and inspiring book, Immaculée shows us how to embrace the power of prayer, forge a profound and lasting relationship with God, and discover the importance of forgiveness and the meaning of truly unconditional love and understanding—through our darkest hours. I read this book a couple of years ago and was really touched by this young woman's experiences and how she chose to rise above the hatred and forgive. It's not an easy non-fiction book to read, but very well worth the time.

It seems to parallel the lesson in Sunday School this week where the Lamanites gave up the wicked and hate-filled traditions of their fathers and chose the better way by showing love and being neighborly as taught by Jesus Christ through His prophets...
