baked hot chocolate

i saw this recipe on good things utah today and i think it looks really good! so if i find time to make it i will let you know if it's a keeper.

Ingredients:
9 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
3 ounces butter
4 whole eggs
1/4 cup sugar

Combine chocolate and butter in a mixing bowl and melt over a double boiler; combine eggs and sugar in a separate mixing bowl and warm over double boiler until warm to the touch; transfer egg mixture to mixer and whip until fluffy; fold whipped eggs into melted chocolate; divide evenly into 4 bake proof dishes and bake at 350 degrees for 17 to 20 minutes.

I'm sure glad you have a schedule that allows you to watch GTU or I would have truly missed out! It looks so yummy that I may have to make it before you have a chance to give us the keeper status...

Did they say if you could use semi-sweet chocolate chips?

lyn- actually i tivo it so i can watch it- but whatever works ya know! semi sweet choc chips work perfect- if you want you can actually watch the segment from tv on their website(just go to google-then type good things utah, and it should take you to it.)

brittany- no problem

everyone else- it was good! i wouldn't say to die for, but it was good. it was a lot like hot moultan lava cake- just not runny, but moist.
