row B posse

College so far----- so you always ask if the seat is taken- usually just to be polite- well this is exactly what happened on the fourth day of interior design. i casually walk up to the front (because that is where the good students sit) and ask let's call her girl #1 the very question i mentioned above.... of course the answer is no as it always is, but this time there was a slight hesitation. so i sat down, and right when i did the very girl who seat i had just taken (of course i didn't know this at the time) arrived (she can be girl #2). now i understood the slight hesitation. so she just sat next to me- you know trying to go with the flow of things. then they carefully explain to me how this is row B..... and how you are supposed to sit in the same spot everyday (to make it easier for turning in and handing out assignments) of course i explained my actions by telling them how that isn't until after the first two weeks and we actually start turning in assignments (the first two weeks we were supposed to find a seat we liked! which is exactly what i was doing.) so at this point in the story girl #3 arrives, and sits down. they all start chatting, and discussing very important matters because girls always do! and here i was right in the middle. what i didn't realize when i chose that seat that fourth day, was that i was imposing on what i call the row B posse. so after that i officially became part of the row B posse from then on---of course i moved down 2 seats, so i would not disturb the regular order of the group. which i did so unknowingly on that fourth day of interior design.

(sorry if that didn't make any sense- i am definitely not an english major)

I understand completely what you're talking about.
I've had a situation similar to that recently this semester :)
